RO - Clujing around
Many of you might not know, but Cluj is the 2nd city in Romania where I spent a big time of my life. First during the summer holidays visiting my family and later for my studies . It is a lovely city. It is a vibe!
In case you plan to visit Cluj anytime soon, I am sharing with you few places we like. To all the places we have been more than once and therefore I feel that I can recommend them to you.
Restaurants – all based in the city centre :
Eggcetera - https://www.instagram.com/eggcetera.cluj/
Known for their tasty breakfast & brunch options, made with fresh ingredients from the local producers. They do not take reservations, but we never waited longer than 10 minutes. During this time you can already have a drink and order your food. Also, kid & pet friendly 😊

Casa Boema - https://casaboema.com/
An international cuisine in the heart of the city centre. It is a very relaxing and beautiful place to spend your afternoon or evening during a summer day.The hidden garden between all the old historical buildings in the city centre is a true gem! A bit pricey compared with the rest, but the food was very good and the atmosphere nice. Anastasia enjoyed it too.

Da Pino - https://dapino.ro/
Here you have 2 different restaurants: a small Italian bistro with more relaxed atmosphere and an elegant restaurant (both are next to eachother). We have visited both and enjoyed very much. Also, baby friendly! Anastasia loved all the care received from the team when we visited it last time. I recommend booking in advance since it is quite a known place.

Nuka Bistro - https://www.facebook.com/NukaBistro/
Here you can enjoy a very traditional Transylvanian dessert called “Bird’s Milk” and a tasty Turkey Schnitzel. Service was very nice and restaurant is baby friendly (with baby chair & baby suitable food options).

Bujole - http://www.bujole.com/menu
I always go here for their nice cocktails and the artichoke hummus (THE BEST!!) and Patrick goes for the wide variety of beers and the Foie Gras Burger.
As a downside for us lately, they are not too baby friendly (no child seat, no children portion/food)

Zama - https://zamabistro.ro/
- A traditional restaurant with local food. You may try here different types of soups & the famous “varza a la Cluj” or “gulas”.

Other nice places :
Hugs and Mugs- https://www.hugs-mugs.ro/
This place is a MUST if you have small kids. We have been there 2 times during 3 days - it is created by a mother for parents with kids. You can see that she thought about the details important for any parent. We have felt like home and Anastasia enjoyed all the toys while we enjoyed our drink. We also bought her there a book from Usborne, our favourites.
I wish there would be such a place in every city where we travel to!
Iris Delice - https://irisdelice.ro/
This place is the heaven for the sweet lovers. I always take from here the raspberry croissant - absolute madness.
Meron - https://www.meron.coffee/
- Freshly roasted coffee. My favorite is the tonic coffee!
Moritz Eis - https://moritzeis.com/
- Tasty ice cream!
No, I hope that I made you crave for Cluj! Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
